Boston Pops at NJPAC
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience enjoying the Boston Pops concert!
The orchestra presented a good selection of pieces. Having listened to their CD of holiday songs for years, I figured I would just hear the same songs live and in person.
No! It was even better. They did an excerpt from "Amahl and the Night Visitors," a musical work which was introduced to me by my fifth grade teacher in 1959. It was great to hear it again!
They did a presentation of "The Polar Express" which I saw as a movie, but the narration of the book accompanied by music was absolutely spectacular.
The orchestra's rendition of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" was a work of musical art!
Bravo!
